Day #44 - Sam Owen Camp to Bull Lake

WARNING - Cringe Alert!

On earth we are briefly conscious.

The moments of mindfulness are extremely elusive. Even at the moment of writing this I already lost the clarity of my mind which I had just a couple of minutes ago. Just like a person with Alzheimer’s briefly recognizes its closest ones, I was able to appreciate the moment of beauty which I was surrounded by. Still am but my head is already blurry and cannot fully appreciate it anymore. At least not in its purest form. Everything around becomes a new baseline, like a noise background which the brain is not processing nor taking any effort to stop by and think about it. It’s amazing how well La Grande Belezza managed to capture this phenomenon.

And it doesn’t only apply to beauty or scenery. It’s the same thing with sharing time with friends and closest ones. In a sense it’s even harder to simultaneously be in a moment of joy and be able to share it with others. That’s because we might not be synchronized in time, or perception of what’s bringing us joy. It’s hard to find a moment of clarity and even harder to share it with others. Probably even harder to explain it all (at least for me) so imma shut up now. Peace.
