Day #48 - Avalanche Campsite to Swan Lake

Glacier National Park has so much to offer off the bike I wish I had some proper hiking gear. Neither flip flops nor spd shoes provide much grip so I was only able to do the easiest and shortest of the hikes (in spds not flip flops lol). After tackling Logan Pass and Avalanche Lake my options were limited. Additionally, poor weather forecast tipped the scales towards leaving Glacier. But I will be back! At least two times - with some lightweight bike for that Logan Pass KOM and with hiking gear for all the missed hikes! ๐Ÿ˜…

Linda and Marcus stayed to explore the park further. I truly value our two weeks together because such fast roadies on a bike tour is actually a rarity. Plus we had a lot of fun on and off the bike. Thanks guys! Ride on! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Jim also stayed one more day. Thanks for the lead out up the Logan Pass and all the cool stories from your career. ๐Ÿ‘

Now itโ€™s time to go south! Destination: Yellowstone National Park

P.S. Bad weather unfortunately got me around 30km before the finishโ€ฆ Gear worked well and I managed to stay somewhat dry however it rained the entire night and humidity creeped into everything I have. Ughh.
