Day #55 - Bozeman to Yellowstone NP
Whoa that was really challenging ride. Mentally challenging. Didn’t sleep that well due to all the adrenaline still pumping in my veins after loosing and retrieving my wallet. Plus the campsite was located between interstate highway and railroad tracks so go figure if it was loud. Mediocre night converted into headache and lack of motivation to cycle. This plus couple of errands which I had to run made me depart Bozeman at 1pm… way too late for a 130km bike ride.
First 60km were beautiful though. It almost felt like Switzerland - cows roaming freely on green valleys, well maintained houses and big mountains in the background.
After 80km is where the mental struggle started. Was done with cycling and yet I had to push another 50km battling headwinds and clock as I wanted to make it to Yellowstone before sunset (I was afraid that hiker/biker spots would be given to someone else if I arrived too late. It wasn’t the case though). Divide and conquer technique proved itself once again. Split 50km into 10x5km and count down those. Works like magic. My hardship was rewarded with a cold beer given to me at the campsite by some trail angeles. I must have looked quite miserable considering I barely pitched my tent and already was handed a beer. 😂 Thanks guys!

Just a guy touring on his bike across the world and getting progressively broke. Should you wish to help me out and fuel few kilometers of my ride please paypal.me/MPaluchowski. Any sort of help is greatly appreciated.
