Day #66 - Stagecoach SP to Stillwater Campground
Nice climb! Not higher than Sonora but luckily not anything like it when it comes to steepness. Naturally I blew my back tube yet again maybe 2min into the climb… but I was expecting it to fail cuz it was too small for my tire. I need new tires though because I am truly stretching the limits of the structural integrity of these continentals. Hope they will hold till Boulder.
Challenging day, however it’s honestly not the distance nor climbing which is grueling - it’s the time spent in the saddle. After 5h my butt starts to protest and after 6h it screens in agony. I was almost happy to climb this last bit 10km away from the finish because I could get out of the saddle and climb while standing.
I could have started my day earlier and procrastinate less in the morning because I was riding 30min after the sunset which I’d rather avoid. But all the junk food calories I ingested gave me some serious fuel. 💪
Tomorrow climbing up to 3700m and descending to Boulder.

Just a guy touring on his bike across the world and getting progressively broke. Should you wish to help me out and fuel few kilometers of my ride please paypal.me/MPaluchowski. Any sort of help is greatly appreciated.
