Day #67 - Boulder to Lyons
After amazing recovery in Boulder with Tristan and Brendan the time has come to take off again. I’d like to emphasize how great these guys were for me - took me under their roof just because I was lucky enough to meet their mom up on the Washington Pass like a month ago. ❤️ I had a blast in Boulder and it was like a 5star hotel experience for me. Truly amazing. Recovered not only physically but also mentally. Thanks guys you are my MVPs!
While resting I realized that there is plenty of cool passes Colorado has to offer and I’d rather do that instead of tackling Kentucky’s plains. That’s why I went back to Lyons through Boulder Canyon (up) and Lefthand Canyon (down although I wish I went up - seems like a lovely climb). I was supposed to do a third one today but got caught by the rain so decided to call it a day. The pass is not going anywhere anyways.
Plan for upcoming days: Saint Vrain Canyon, Peak to Peak Highway, Golden loop (Coral Creek Canyon & Golden Gate Canyon), Mt Evans Supposedly this is crème de la crème of Boulder cycling. 😎 Nice!
Just a guy touring on his bike across the world and getting progressively broke. Should you wish to help me out and fuel few kilometers of my ride please paypal.me/MPaluchowski. Any sort of help is greatly appreciated.
