The Cols

The End - Chicago Amtrak leg stretching

This is it guys. I decided to finish my ride in Denver and dropped the idea of crossing the states by bike. There are a couple of reasons for that but the main one is simple - I simply didn’t feel like riding across the remaining states. It is supposed to be fun and going on the flats for 3200km being surrounded by cornfields is not exactly my definition of fun.

I believe this is the perfect moment to end this amazing trip. Having done Sierras, Cascades and Rockies I feel truly fulfilled when it comes to climbing by bike. I still will have to come back one day and do nicest passes with a proper road bike but this was nonetheless amazing. Some stats: 7915km, 91357m of elevation gain. (No worries I will prepare some nicer summary of this trip)

On this note I would like to thank every person who somehow contributed towards my success (because I don’t perceive it as a failure!). First and foremost big love to my family and friends who were the silent helpers. I knew if sth went wrong I could have always asked for help. Next big thanks to all the great people I met on the road. You really saved me couple of times and I owe you big time.

Special thanks to: Seth, Cat, Anna, Marta, Jacek, Kacper, Andrzej, Linda & Marcus ❤️, Erin & Brendan & Tristan Myers, Jeff Markovich & family, Laura and Gordon Bornkamps, John Matthews, Heather McLean, people responsibly for finding and returning my wallet in Boseman, countless of people whom I didn’t get to meet close enough to get their contact info but were extremely nice to me.

Shout out to all the people who reached me through my website and gave me ‘kudos’ this way. Thanks for all the comments guys. There were days which it gave me wings so it means a lot to me. Peace and ride on! ❤️
