Day #6: Quichuas - Huanta

Spaghetti legs. 😢 Idk if that’s the altitude or just being out of shape in general but maaan do I struggle mentally to keep pushing.

Beautiful valley and beautiful people tho. During my lunch break I was a local sensation and people were taking pictures with me, hahah. So nice and friendly. This makes me 100% sure that tiny villages in the middle of nowhere are waaay better than big cities. And it doesn’t apply just to Peru.

Today it rained twice during the day, however it stopped as abruptly as it stated. A lot of streams were overflowing onto the street but nothing I couldn’t cross. Surprisingly a lot of gravel sections and short but punchy uphill kickers which I didn’t expect. Maybe that’s the culprit- was hoping for a day of downhill and it didn’t fully arrive.
