Rainbow Mountain was just as expected - overhyped. However the valley leading to it was simply amazing. Beautiful mountains, plenty of alpacas and lamas and a challenging gravel. The road was quite rough especially for the downhill however my bike handled it rather well. I was expecting to be able to cycle all the way to the top of the Rainbow Mountain however the last 2km was a rather steep and muddy hike where I had to push my bike. Somehow managed despite slippery spd shoes and grueling altitude.
