Gravel day today (55km) with my first legit river crossing. Luckily it wasn’t extremely deep - thighs level. I was to lazy to carry the bike while crossing this river barefoot so I just walked it next to me. Kinda needed a wash anyways. 😬

Nice ride with bumpy but fun roads. Some occasional headwind but mostly cross-back which was nice. Avoided the rain however clouds were building up during entire day. All in all a fun ride.

Some of you might be confused why I’m heading that way instead of going to Bolivia and Salar de Uyuni. The answer is simple - I wouldn’t make it back to Lima on time. :( Uyuni is quite some ways from Puno and if it’s even slightly flooded that would have been a bike killer. Next time. 🤷🏻‍♂️
