Somehow the surrounding scenery reminds me of Tuscany. I don’t know if that makes sense but it’s just these golden fields that give me such vibe.

Beautiful forests and cute little mountain passes (although the second one had some punchy switchbacks) both of which are very pleasant to cycle across.

Off bike - sand flies are vicious. And west coast is supposed to be even worse. I need a good bug repellent but I hate those things. Like I wasn’t sticky and smelly just after cycling.
