NZ Day #13: Alpaca Ranch to Frankton (+to Omarama)
A little bit of gravel a little bit of mud, plenty of paved asphalt on with bike and a car. Yes you heard me right - I rented a car. 😬 10nzd ($6) per day 😏for a one way rental from Queenstown to Christchurch. Seems like everyone else is doing the opposite direction. I ended up paying more than that because decided to insure it to the max considering how unpredictable the weather can be in here but still a reasonable price for a huge suv rental. Literally arrived at the airport by bike, got a car and showed the bike into the trunk without de-assembling anything.
This way I’ll cover ~650km in 3 days instead of 7 which gives me back my 4 lost days. As a result I’ll be in Christchurch on 10th and from there it’s ‘only’ 900km across the mountains which I should be able to cover in 9 to 13 days. I have to because 13 days is all I have.
Plan for tomorrow: do an Intermezzo of climbing Lindis pass from both sides and visit Mt. Cook and sleep there or go towards Christchurch. Haven’t decided yet. :)

Just a guy touring on his bike across the world and getting progressively broke. Should you wish to help me out and fuel few kilometers of my ride please paypal.me/MPaluchowski. Any sort of help is greatly appreciated.
