NZ Day #16: Arthur’s Pass - Greymouth — Today’s conditions were way more gentle with me than the day before. Very chill traffic! Arthur’s Pass is significantly nicer from the northern side with some beautiful gorge and very steep grades (16% for 2km

NZ Day #15: Springfield to Arthur’s Pass — The hardest ride in NZ. Fierce headwinds, steep grades and no services. Not even water. Morale are running low.

NZ Day #14: Christchurch to Springfield — Didn’t feel like cycling today.

Lunch Ride —

Fake Hike - just sharing this amazing location — Tourist Drive via Summit Road. Memorize this location. This is probably the best spot in the entire South Island to cycle/drive a sports car through. Amazing winding road, little to no traffic and spectacular scenery.

Mt. Cook Intermezzo — Woow! Stunning. By far the most majestic and breathtaking scenery I’ve seen in NZ thus far.

Lindis Pass Intermezzo — South side only because north was rainy. Went moderately hard but definitely not all out.

NZ Day #13: Alpaca Ranch to Frankton (+to Omarama) — A little bit of gravel a little bit of mud, plenty of paved asphalt on with bike and a car. Yes you heard me right - I rented a car. 😬 10nzd ($6) per day

NZ Day #12: Te Anau to Alpaca Ranch — Wanted to go on this trail across the mountain but a local policeman said it was a rough gravel and probably super washed down right now. He was right as I did part of this

Te Anau Intermezzo — Status update: 3rd day of being stuck in Te Anau but at least it stopped raining. Local authorities announced a state of emergency after road to Milford was flushed down and stopped existing on few

NZ Day #12: to Te Anau — I’m done with this bs. 2x as much rain as yesterday + headwind. No services along the entire time so I couldn’t even warm up with a coffee or sth. Not moving for an inch
